I just got back to Vancouver after spending the weekend in Vail, Colorado watching climbing. The weather was almost perfect, perhaps too warm and sunny as my poor red shoulders can attest. Vail was hosting the Teva Mountain Games and in association with this USA Climbing had organized the first World Cup in North America in 20 years! It was a boulder world cup and I didn't qualify for the Canadian National team but I still wanted to go and watch. I have to say it was awesome just being there.

Things didn't start out so well though. On Thursday night as we drove to Vail from Denver we drove over the pass in a snow storm.
